I am having trouble with the Yahoo indexing of one of my sites. It is indexing the whole website OK, except for the homepage. The title Yahoo is using for the homepage is not the title it's ever had, and is all in lower case, which obviuosly looks very odd. Also it is showing no description, either when doing a site: search or in the actual serps for my target keywords. Also, it's not showing a cache.
Is this some sort of penalty? The thing is if it was it wouldn't show in the serps, but with Yahoo displaying it like that no one is clicking thorugh! Any ideas as to why Yahoo wouldn't display / index the homepage properly? the site isn't new, it's been around for 18 months and this has gone on for some time. |
