Thank you Glenn I looked in there today. I'll be sure to add that once our site is up.

Jared, thanks so much for your comments. I know you are a busy guy but do you think the tutorials will be up over the weekend? No pressure just curious.

Also I see my post was edited but I dont see where.

Hi,

I'm really grateful I've checked out this post. Needless to say, I'm looking for more information for real estate website improvement. I keep weighing whether the graphics should play a bigger role than the text especially in a data-infused website such as Global Property Guide, a website that produces original research and press releases for international investors.

You see it's massive, but there's that question of whether we should sacrifice the text in exchange for a Google-friendly template or whatnot. What do you think, got any suggestions? We want to keep the massive amount of data, but if we don't do anything about the design and all, I think having zero web traffic and low search engine ranking would put that all to waste.

It's a real work in progress

ginny

The easiest (well relatively speaking) and quickest thing to do to improve your ranking would be to use a mod rewrite on your php urls into static html. In other words, get rid of the php?id= (globalpropertyguide.com/country.php?id=205&cid=na&cat=2) stuff and use names that reflect the actual page content. IMO it would be a huge step in helping the site get crawled quicker and be able to raise internal pages in the serps.
