I do believe this is the first time that I have put in a plug for a local (Phoenix) competitor. I must be growing soft...
Greg Swann, Broker with BloodhoundRealty.com wrote a great article about how they are putting business cards to great use for just listed, just sold, open house announcements, and more. I like it! I also poked around his site a bit and noticed he has gotten creative with his yard signs as well. Again, I like it! Greg, Great job. I'll keep my eyes on you... ![]() Jim Last edited by Jim Messenger : 10-30-2006 at 03:26 PM. |

I like the yard signs, but would have to find a good local sign place that can turn them around fast enough. Most of the time I have the sign in the ground within 6 hours of taking the listing. Guess that would have to change.
The business card idea doesn't seem that impressive to me. But maybe I just need to re-read it.

Aren't there regulations as to the size of a real estate sign in the Phoenix area? Unfortunately, as innovative as the sign idea is, it would not fly in some markets due to the size.
I like the biz card idea, and the comments after the blog post led me to the website of their provider - it's always nice to check out different vendors for cards. Good post Jim. |

The county has certain codes regarding signs, but most neighborhood or HOA's here have specific requirements for signage both for sale and open houses.
Sometimes it can be very costly to have a custom sign done for a specific HOA.

We have run into some stupid sign regulations. In Austin their is this community Lakeway that doesnt allow real estate signs (only flyer boxes). I spent some time researching it and it looks like its illegal. I thought about pursueing it but who has the time.

Ki - if the community is a deed restricted community it might not be legal from one standpoint but the deed restrictions do have an impact on the individual community.

I personally really liked the concept of putting property info on the back of business cards but find the method used leaving something left to be desired. |

Hi , I'm new to the site and don't mean to impose but the best marketing solution we've come up with is our own direct mail flyer. I started about 10 years ago with a local printing company and eventualy bought the printing business and now produce our own mailed to 22,500 households every month. My competitors actualy pay me to advertise in it .
