I know this is a forum on photography, so please excuse what could be a off the thread topic.
Will videos of properties and neighborhoods replace photos and virtual tours? What are you thoughts about which is better for attracting prospects?

So, it seems that most people are thinking the video is something that will not be the future and site visitors may not be able to easily access the videos.
Guess maybe that I was fortunate to do some video for an out-of-state buyer and was able to put together a contract. Thought I might be onto something great. LOL |

Glenn,
I still think videos are a good idea. I think they should be an addition, not a replacement for photos. You can always create a style sheet that would strip the videos out for mobile browsers. Jim

I personally prefer photos to the digital tours that make you feel like you are looking through a fishbowl and give you less control than a series of photos you can click through. Digital tours give the viewer too much information. However, sometimes sellers think that they are pretty cool. I'm old-school; curiosity sells better than too much information. Generally, I prefer to omit photos of bathrooms and bedrooms unless they are photogenic. Photos of every bed and every toilet tend to kill curiosity-based interest. Good point about everyone going mobile. Now I have a good way to explain to potential sellers why I don't use them! |

Sometimes we can get caught up with technology lose sight that others may not be so advanced.

Look at the upcoming release of the iphone.....
itunes integrates with YouTube for Apple TV, ipods, & iphones.
So, someone could download listing videos from YouTube via itunes, load them to play on their iphone and watch the videos while mobile...
