Some print articles have caught my eye lately in the search engine space. It remains to be seen if Ask will be able to step up to the plate and play with the big boys.
What are your thoughts on purusing SEO towards an engine like Ask? |

Worry about Google, if the others happen then it's a bonus. If, and that's a big if, they truely become a player at some point then worry about making a few changes OR starting a site that is only optimized for Ask. But I don't think that will be anytime soon.
BTW, I am #1 for my main term in Ask and have had Zero hits from them in the last 90 days. So they can claim to have traffic, but it is obvious to me that it isn't enough to care about.

For awhile I thought ask was going to make some waves. I remember them doing some television advertising but it didnt seem to amount to much.

This is true that the television advertising did nothing to improve the market share of searches done on the Internet for Ask. But you have to admit it was a good try.

Ask didn't have a whole lot of success with their television advertising last year but Bing sure has seemed to. I am a little surprised how quickly some people got into using Bing. I think it is a big improvement on Live or MSN but it still is a fairly spamable search engine.
