Hi Mert -

I just wanted to be clear that we were talking about the same thing. DT seems to have relinquished Lead Management in favor of leveraging ConnectMLS, and when comparing our two web-serving systems, there isn't much overlap left (lead aggregation aside).

I really want our solution to serve you guys as much as possible, certainly when the changes that make significance to you pale by comparison to our other wishlist requests. The problem is that we operate largely in a vacuum, without access to competitive systems and few Realtors willing to share feedback. Aside from Ken, only a handful of agents have been vocal about the reason they use other systems either with or instead of ours.

Again, all I can promise is that we will do whatever we can to make the solution that works... that's our strongest benefit: we have the flexibility of implementing changes that only serve 20% of the userbase, whereas BV, MLSFinder, and Connect are at the mercy of much larger interoperability challenges with multiple MLSes.

Have a great holiday!
-Matt

Matt to be perfectly honest, before I went in the path of building my own IDX, I would have loved to use you but due to no lead distribution tools like nufrontiers (which DT's basic foundation code comes from), i could not do that. For my brokerage with a lot of incoming leads, sadly their software is better on that level. But to assure you smaller real estate brokerages with no big # of leads, your path is the right path. 99% of realtors in Chicago do not have any experience in website marketing and most dont even know how to work the leads so a client-end run operation is a lot better for them. I truly believe that you have the best third party hosted search in Chicago for individual agents and small brokerages.

Mert -- not sure when you last looked at our stuff, but we do have lead distribution now. We just don't offer automated distribution beyond round-robin at the moment.

PS- thanks for the compliments

Mert the lead distribution is good and would really be worth looking into (as I have told you before).

The downside is what I was talking about earlier. If a lead comes in it goes straight to the next agent in the round robin. But 10 minutes later if the lead emails for a showing or more information it goes to the main agent/office. This is one of the biggest issues so far, it can be solved by having every agent buy a VOW, this just gets a little expensive when these agents have no interest in having a website. Most likely I will be stuck eating this expense.

Few other upgrades that would make this product great on the lead distribution side are:
  • Weighted Round Robin System (10%, 10%, 20%, ...of leads)
  • Being able to preset when an agent gets leads or doesn't (one agent gets no leads on Sunday as they don't work that day)
  • A really cool calendar system so I know what my agents are doing (wishful thinking)
  • Agents getting the email from the clients w/o having to buy their own VOW

These are naturally on top of the other items that I have expressed an interest in. The calendar just popped into my head, but it would be a need addition. Might have to come up with something like that on my own.

Matt I would say that I am the most vocal mainly because I can see where you can improve. Some people can't see ways to improve a product. Plus you asked me for my opinion so you will keep getting it until you tell me to stop .

Matt,

Just saw this and my two cents is that your system is easy to use.... From what I've seen in Chicago your system is the most user friendly. My only quirck with it is there is no "return to listings" link after somebody clicks on more information for a property..... and that's a pretty small complaint.

As we always say, keep it simple .....
