If you are trying to take your business to the next level this is a great book. If you are a new agent that needs to learn how to generate business this book will help you. Then on the flip side if you are a mega producer doing over a million in commissions a year this book can help you also.
What I liked best about the book is it makes you look at real estate as a business. This is something that most agents don't get and is why most fail. If you decide you want to succeed in real estate this is a must read IMO.

Interesting question. There needs to be flexablity as markets change and new competition. KW is very rigid about some rules and that can hurt an office.
Other than that I would have to think about it. For the most part I am happy with KW. I am leaving them, but only because I have to. My condo conversions require that I be with another broker, but for 400+ units I am more than willing to change. |

One thing I always wondered about KW is if the profit sharing plan works well for anyone other than the founding members. They sure recruited a lot of RE/MAX agents in my area with that idea.
The fact that it cost $6,000.00 more per year than my office was my biggest turn off. |

The profit sharing should not be the only reason to go to KW that is for sure. It is a nice bonus, but it will not replace your income. There are a few exceptions to that rule, but they are few and far between. You have to bring in a few people that bring in a lot of people or bring in a lot of people yourself. That would be a full time job in itself. $6k over the local ReMax is a perfect example of when an office needs to be able to adjust for local conditions.

This book opens your eyes to a few things, most definitely. As with most things in life, you get out of it what you put into it.
Coincidentally, I have a second copy (brand new) of this book, should you want it for a reasonable price, PM me. |
