I just happen to notice today on the google toolbar that my blog site has a PR of 3 and my main site is still at a PR of 0. Kind of ironic. I spend a handful of time on the blog and way too much time on the main site and the blog seems to be doing better. Oh yes, I realize the google toolbar PR means little, but I am just using it as a simple comparison tool. Just an observation on my part. |

there is a theory that the search engines love blogs, because their content is refreshed frequently as normal web sites. Maybe that is the reason. Unfortunately I can not say the same for me. I'm publishing in my blog on daily basis, but it has still PR 3, and many of my other web (no blogs) sites has higher PR |

I have heard that as well that g love blogs. I have a friend that says he got a pr3 with no links (just internal linking) I never checke it out because I forgot the name of the blog. Anyway he seemed to thing g liked the blogs for some reason.

It is very evident that google has a preference for blogs as it is much easier to get them to rank for key words. Your friend should watch out on how he goes about internal linking if he does it to much it can end up hurting him. Especially if the interlinking brings no value to the end user.

Google likes blogs because it is new and fresh content, which Google likes to deliver to search results. The PR could be the result of inbound links from other blogs or other resources on the net.
