Blogs getting page rank reduced to zero

I'm seeing just the opposite. My blog was PR0 for the last three months. Now I'm PR1. What a long road, but I think if you write the blog and don't try to fool the SEs you'll be ok.

The trust rank or your sites authority is becoming more important every day. My site was bouncing around on the top half of page 1 until my PR dropped from 4 to 3 and then my site got locked in (knock on wood) at #2.

Bigtoe - glad to hear that you locked in a good position even though you had a PR drop.

Most recently some pages dropped in PR, but the site is ranking higher than it has in many months.

I'm not sure if others have seen this, but about the time this thread was first posted my blog went from PR2 to graybar. It was also just after I changed my blog from no-follow to do-follow. I am still at graybar and have always suspected it was due to the do-follow.

Did you have some comment spam where the link(s) went to sites that Google might consider "bad neighborhoods"?
Do you have any inbound links?
What is the PR for the page where the links are coming from?

No, I screen links before allowing them.

Too many to check although I saw numerous PR3's as the highest I saw before Site Explorer blocked me.

Hi Dennis,

I have seen my blog bounce between a 3 and 4.

Doing a site: command, I did notice that in some cases your blog does have situations where Google might be seeing duplicate content. You might want to do further analysis on this.

Doing the site: command on Google shows a significant number of pages within your site, while Yahoo is showing in excess of 20k pages. I have to wonder if your homepage with a PR3 has enough PR to support all the pages you have indexed.

I have a relatively new blog that is "do follow" and it shows up now as having a PR of 1 since the recent PR update. So, I doubt you problem is that your blog is "do follow."

I continue to think that the other guy's site has some issues with duplicate content and might be experiencing some penalty do to the duplicate content.
