Hey Jim, I hope this copy of your quote works. I took it from another thread of mine ( Whats up)and thought I would add it here. I think I have figure out how to add hyper link. The one thing that orginally messed me up was when I chose the text to have hyperlink and hit the link button from the tool bar or menu zand add the link. It shows in the message box in html code and also as html code in the "preview Post". Which I was hope to see it as it would look when submitted with the blue colored test that indicates a hyperlink. So for us none techies it would be cool and easier to see it as it would be seen posted in the forum. It is a little intimidating not knowing how others would view it so I or others can edit it before everyone else sees it and our possible mistakes ![]()

Hmmm?? Maybe it was just me or my computer. Let me see what happnes when I try this time. Ok yep. When I click the "preview Post" button it shows the code not the blue text that is hyper linked. Is there something I need to download to allow me to see the end result. Here is what I was hoping to see in the Preview Post. Ok went to try and do it but the color text doesn't chnage color it just shows the htmls code for it to change color once this post is submitted. I hope I'm being clear.
If I could see it as it would look posted is what I'm getting at. Like when you create something in MS word or Outlook the actual text color change can be seen visualy not the code to do the change. A WYSIWYG type of preview. |

Just thought of something, Drew you do realize that when you click preview that the preview is above the editing box correct? Sure you do, but thought I would make sure before Jim goes crazy trying to fix this.

I thought of it being below the text box but I guess I forgot to look up.
Let me see if your right and if so Sorry Jim. I guess I have a lot to learn, but on the brighter side atleast you know you see if it i easy enough for Drew ![]() Ok I'm typing this part after I hit the Preview button. After hitting the button the screeen refreshes itself withthe text box on the top of the screen, so no blue text seen above this or below. Although I did notice on the very bottom of this page is the posting rules everything is on except Html code says off. Would that have anything to do with me not seeing the preview correctly. Also is there something I havve to download like the spellchecker I downloaded? Extra extra!!! after tying the above 2 paragraghs which was after I hit the Preview button the first time I hit the preview botton again and BINGO there was my preview part above me. So I guess it is fixed or I may have to click twice on the preview button. I will try this agian on a reply to see if I can get a one hit preview with out hitting it twice. ![]() |
