Default Real Estate Webmasters - Content Thieving Scum

Would any of the members here care to create a post at that other useless forum asking Moron about this post? http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/thread12055.html

He copied our entire article 106 Content Ideas for the REALTOR who has nothing to write about.

It's ironic to read his forum rules here.

Take a look at number five:

#5. R E W will not tolerate any other member stealing (Borrowing) intellectual property or website content without expressed written permission of the owner of said property. You will be given the opportunity to provide such documentation of permission however failure to provide such proof is subject to lifetime ban.

I guess, in order to not appear hypocritical, he must now ban himself.

Of course we will follow through with a DMCA complaint.

I would actually remove that link to his thread Jim. He actually ranks for the same title and for content ideas for realtors type of keywords. He could not take the fact that you did something better than him and had to rank for it by copying you. Such shame. Either way we are used to it are not we. Oh he also said in that thread that it would be easier for him to list it in his website just to be a better reference to the forum members. That is strictly plaguarism.

Thanks for the support Mert.

The links are "nofollowed."

I'm not too concerned that he ranks for the terms. One of the requirements involved with filling a DMCA with the search engines is notifying them of the search term or phrase the the site shows up for.

Here is a quote from Google's Digital Millennium Copyright Act page:

Quote:
FOR WEB SEARCH, YOU MUST IDENTIFY EACH SEARCH RESULT THAT DIRECTLY LINKS TO A WEB PAGE THAT ALLEGEDLY CONTAINS INFRINGING MATERIAL. This requires you to provide (a) the search query that you used, and (b) the URL for each allegedly infringing search result.
For example, suppose (hypothetically) that you conducted a search on google.com using the query "google", and found that the third and fourth results directly link to a web page that you believe infringes the copyrighted text you identified in item #1 above. In this case, you would provide the following information:
Search Query: google Infringing Web Pages: www.infringingwebsite.com
directory.infringingwebsite.com

Thanks again,

Jim

Looks like Bob took care of posting for you. I also followed up with a PM to Morgan about it.

And look at that, the thread is #10 when you type that company's name. How about we all link to this thread with that name to make it #2.
