Please Keep Jim in Your Prayers

On Sunday morning while getting ready for church, Jim began feeling discomfort in his chest. His wife, Andrea, immediately rushed him to the hospital, and it was quickly discovered that Jim was having a severe heart attack.

Doctors performed emergency surgery to remove the blockage from the main artery, and he is now recovering in the Intensive Care Unit at Arrowhead Hospital here in Glendale, Arizona.

He will remain in recovery for two to three more days. After those few days, doctors have scheduled another surgery to remove additional blockages.

We will keep you up to date as we receive information. Please keep Jim in your prayers.

UPDATE: Posted Dec 5, 2006

A second cardiologist has come in and said they would like Jim to recover from his first surgery before performing the second surgery to remove the additional blockages. So, he should be coming home from the hospital soon to recover and then after 2-3 weeks, the second surgery will be scheduled. Thank you so much for all the kind comments, phone calls, and prayers.

UPDATE: Posted December 14, 2006

Jim went to the cardiologist yesterday for a follow-up visit. Because of an abnormal EKG and continuing pain, the doctor immediately put him in the hospital yesterday and he is scheduled to have his second surgery today. So… the second surgery is sooner than originally planned, but hopefully, this will alleviate any further problems. We appreciate your continuing thoughts and prayers.
