How to write your “About Me” page
REALTORS, Here is your assignment for the week… Revamp your “About Me” page.
There are four main questions that readers want answered on your “About Me” page:
- who you are…
- your expertise and how it addresses…
- their problem or goal, and how they can…
- contact you

Aside from the tips above, be sure that you address the most significant aspect - how you can meet the needs of your target audience. Don’t just talk about how you were #1 at this or that or how you got a plaque for attending the most broker meetings last year… nobody cares about all the “fluff”.
Your readers want to know why you are the best person for the job, but more importantly, how the service you provide will best meet their needs.

Uh-oh…. I have some more work to do.
November 25th, 2006 at 8:39 amGlad to hear that my reader tip published at ProBlogger was useful. If you’re interested, I have a longer version with more exampleshere. There’s also other step-by-step business templates at my blog HomeBusinessWiz
November 26th, 2006 at 12:05 amExactly, great point made there Jim. We should always focus on the prospects needs even if it’s an about page. I believe among the first things your thought in business/entrepreneur classes is the notion of emphasizing on you/your and not we/our.
This should be incorporated through out your business, as you so very cleverly pointed out. Thanx!
